Gaiman

Gaiman es una pequeña localidad, de 5000 habitantes aproximadamente, de la Provincia de Chubut, en el sur de la Republica Argentina. Está ubicada a 1450 km de Buenos Aires y a sólo 15 km de la ciudad de Trelew.

Cuenta la historia que en 1865, llegaron colonos galeses y se asentaron en la región fundando varias ciudades, entre ellas Gaiman.

Es por eso que en la actualidad, la cultura de esta ciudad se asemeja notablemente a la cultura del país europeo, ya sea por el idioma, la arquitectura y las costumbres regionales.
Sin lugar a dudas, el mayor atractivo son las casas de te donde se puede tomar el te gales y degustar variedades de tortas , dulces y pan casero.

Otros lugares interesantes para visitar son: el Museo Regional, las distintas capillas de la ciudad y el parque Paleontológico Bryn Gwyn.



Gaiman is a small town of about 5,000 inhabitants of the province of Chubut in southern Argentina. It is located at 1450 km from Buenos Aires and just 15 km from the city of Trelew. The story tells that in 1865, Welsh settlers arrived and settled in the region and founded several cities, including Gaiman. That's why, at present, the culture of this city is remarkably similar to the culture of the European country, either by the language, architecture and regional customs. Undoubtedly, the greatest attraction are the houses where you can take tea and taste varieties of Welsh cakes, candies and homemade bread. Other interesting places to visit are: The Regional Museum, the various chapels of the city and the Paleontological park Bryn Gwyn.



Como llegar:
Desde Buenos Aires, se toma la Ruta Nacional 3 hasta Trelew y de ahí se toma la Ruta Nacional 25 hacia el oeste hasta llegar a Gaiman.
